HO CENTRAL NDC TARGET 80,000 VOTES IN 2016 POLLS….

The Ho Central Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has targetted 80,000 votes for President Mahama and at least 70,000 votes for the Parliamentary candidate, Benjamin Kpodo, in the November, 2016 polls.

According to the Member of Parliament (MP) for Ho Central, Benjamin Kpodo, the numerous projects undertaken by the government are a good testimony of the performance of the government and an indication of what the people of the region should be expecting when the party retains power.

Benjamin Kpodo cited many projects including the Ho Aerodrome under construction, the Ho Central Market project, the University of Health and Allied Sciences, asphalt road overlay in Ho, schools and Health facilities.

He added that even though all these projects are ongoing, the region will continue asking for more.

According to the Member of Parliament (MP), the figures on the electoral roll have appreciated upwards from 87,000 to 96,000 after the last limited voter registration exercise and that the 80,000 votes are assured for the party in the November elections.

Benjamin Kpodo was addressing party supporters in Ho after a Health Walk dubbed ”Operation 80K Votes” in Ho.

The event attracted Officials of the party including the Volta Regional Minister- Helen Adjoa Ntosso, Deputy General Secretary-  Koku Anyidoho, National Organizer- Kofi Adams and Regional Executives of the party. Scores of party faithful walked from Ho Dome E.P Primary School through the principal streets of Ho amid music from loud speakers mounted on vehicles and ended the walk at Park E.P. Basic School at Ho Bankoe, where they were addressed by party leaders.

”In the last election,we had 62,000 votes out  87000 voter population. After the last limited Voter Registration exercise, the voter population have increased to 96,000. This time we are working towards 80000 votes,” said Benjamin Kpodo.

The Volta Regional Minister, Helen Adjoa Ntosso, called on the people continue supporting the party because the government of President Mahama is delivering on its promise to the people.

” If the HE John Dramani Mahama is doing all these projects in the Volta Region and in this country which the people are enjoying and seeing for themselves, do we have to gamble with the destiny of the country? If he is working very hard, do we have to gamble by voting someone asking to be tried?- Helen Ntosso asked.

Deputy General Secretary, Koku Anyidoho, said even though there are challenges to be tackled, the NDC’s record in government is far better than that of New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The Municipal Chief Executive of Ho, Fafa Adinyirah, said there will be the filming of documentaries of the work of government in the Municipality in coming days and that everyone will realize that a lot have been achieved under the NDC’s reign.
