Famous Ghanaian pastor Mensah Otabil lashes out at ungrateful players who seek for spiritual support
Celebrated Ghanaian pastor Mensah Otabil has lashed out at ungrateful players, who renege on promises after being offered with spiritual support to enhance their careers.
It is a well documented fact that most Ghanaian players spend fortunes on witch-doctors and pastors for spiritual support to enhance their careers.
Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila has been accused of orchestrating the career-threatening injury sustained by international teammate Jerry Akaminko.
The wild and career killing allegation against the Kuwait-based defender by spiritualist Mallam Baba Issaka Salia has reignited the widespread suspicion of the over-reliance on spiritual support by Ghanaian players.
Speaking on players and their thirst for spiritual support, Pastor Otabil said: “Every footballer has got what he believes in and trust will help them succeed.
“I can count about 50-60 players who come to me for prayers in their quest for footballing success. All the players who have visited have excelled in life and with the various national team levels simply because I teach them right.”
“Most Ghanaian footballers are ungrateful as they prosper in life they ignore and neglect the spiritual assistance they were initially seeking and this act hurts and causes most of the spiritual heads to retaliate and this results in most players career ending abruptly.”
