16 RARE PHOTOS OF LIFE IN THE ASHANTI REGION FROM THE 19th CENTURY

16 RARE PHOTOS OF LIFE IN THE ASHANTI REGION FROM THE 19th CENTURY.

The historical (black & white and sepia) photos were taken by Basel Missionaries in what was then the ‘Gold Coast’, of various areas in southern Ghana during the late 19th Century & early 20th Century.

Most of the black & white photos are from the Basel Mission Image Archive which is managed by Mission 21 and supported in their partnership with the University of Southern California. I do not own the rights to those particular photos.
