12 HYPOCRITICAL ACTS AND STATEMENTS GHANAIANS NEED TO STOP MAKING NOW.
Ghanaians can be hypocritical at times and it’s not even a joke.
They complain about one thing but do worse or will accept the same from someone coming from abroad. You guys need to stop it, like right now.
Here are hypocritical acts and statements Ghanaians make all the time.
1. Ghana Is Too Dirty.
Who made it so? You litter the streets, throw rubbish anywhere and you’re complaining? When it’s raining and you quickly pour your garbage into the running water outside your house, where do you think it goes?
2. Nothing Works In Ghana.
What are you doing about it? Meanwhile, this same person stays in this country and enjoys what we have to give. If nothing at all, we have peace which a lot of countries are praying for, so at least something works. There is no country in the world without problems so stop complaining.
3. There Are Too Many Holidays.
This statement makes me angry to the core. Their argument is that it affects productivity. This is Ghana, where the average Ghanaian goes to work and spends half the time pretending to be working. This is the same Ghana where many workers report for work late and close early. So what productivity are we talking about? That is what needs to be addressed.
4. Police Personnel Like Bribe.
The question is, who gives it to them? You claim they take bribe, yet you drive with an expired license, expired roadworthy and insurance, no spare tyre and dysfunctional parts. When you’re arrested, you beg and pay something to be released. Who gave you the right to complain then? Do the right thing and stop paying bribe and we’ll all be fine.
5. We Don’t Have To Bow To The Whites Again.
Meanwhile, you wake up from your house at dawn to go queue at their embassy for a visa to visit their country for greener pastures. You see your life?
6. You’re Cheap, Every Guy Sleeps With You.
This is normally said to girls assumed to be promiscuous. What I find ironic with this statement is that, mostly, the one making it would have been in several relationships and had sex with each partner. This same person, however, assumes being in a relationship and having sex is better than someone deciding that I want to have sex but I don’t want to be in a relationship. At the end, they are all having sex but one thinks the other is cheap. SMH!
7. It’s Shameful For A Man To Wear An Earring.
Wear an earring in Ghana as a man and if you’re not careful, your family may even disown you. But, travel abroad and return with an earring and these same people will welcome and tell you how good you look. Reason being, you’ve come from abroad so it’s ok. What kind of reasoning is that?
8. Sacking Someone From Church.
You can get sacked from church for showing up with an “ungodly” hairstyle, dress etc. They’ll tell you it’s a sin. Meanwhile, these people are also sinning in various ways but believe once theirs is not public, it’s acceptable. Some Christians forget that even gossiping is a sin. Who are you to even judge? Stop already.
9. Ghana Schools Are Not Good.
I’ve heard this several times for many years. Even those in authority make these comments. Yet, these same people will flaunt their schools and tell the world how good their schools are. So let me ask, your schools that you flaunt, are they not Ghana schools as well?
10. Ghanaian Artistes Angry Over The Playing Of More Nigerian Songs On Radio.
A lot of Ghanaian artistes make this statement and I find it quite hypocritical. You copy their style in your songs. You use their kind of pidgin. You use their phrases and some of you even sing like them. Who wants to play a copy when the original is there? Are you even doing Ghanaian music in the first place for you to complain?
11. Kumawood Movies Are Bad.
Yet you know about Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win, you know of Akrobeto, Mercy Asiedu and Kyeiwaa. You have many of their movies on your computers and you actually go out to buy their CD’s. Your reason, they make you laugh. SO which one is the bad????
12. Market Women And Shop Owners Complaining About Poor Sales.
These women spend practically the whole day at church on weekdays on various consultation with pastors for directions to boost their business. How do you want to make sales when your shop and business is closed while you attend church on a working day? How does it even work for you???
